June Calendar Box

This is now in place, thanks to Ben. "  It is the red 'Celebrations' choc box.   The box is on the permissive path from the Skipton road Fewston car park heading for Thruscross, located where the path crosses the Washburn (though most people carry up RHS to the top footbridge) and is at grid ref 155569 on top of the footbridge central pillar under the metal frame. It is surrounded by stones that I've placed to hide it but it is not actually covered. "

Please help yourself to any refreshments inside, to be suitably replaced, put your name into the notebook, and any Comments as to what you may have seen, and how much further you may have been will always be helpful to others.

  1. We had a very pleasant walk up from the Fewston carpark, no problem finding the box. Lots of orchids and wild flowers all around for the connoisseur.

  2. Adrian "Parked at Blubberhouses, jogged up beside the Washburn with a brief stop to watch the cricket. Found the Calendarbox then left along the Yorkshire Water road to Hall Lane , up the path beside Redshaw Gill and onto Hall Moor visiting Rocking Stone and Brandrith Crags. Heather bashing to Kex Gill Road and through the old silica quarry to the A59. Up the steps towards the antennas bearing of left to pick up the footpath leading back to Moorcock Hall then bridleway to Hall Lane and car park. A very enjoyable circuit."
